Our Purpose
AAUW is dedicated to education and with this as our primary focus, we offer annual collegiate scholarships through our Continuing Education Scholarship program. We also contribute to the Educational Foundation, which supports graduate students and funds national research studies. We sponsor young women who participate in Expanding Your Horizons, a science and math conference for 7th and 8th grade girls to encourage them to consider careers in math, science or technology. Farmers Branch-Carrollton AAUW accomplishes its mission through involvement in community action programs by
- Promoting lifelong education
- Advocating gender equity
- Supporting legislation on issues affecting women and children
- Exploring new opportunities
- Socializing with other professional women
